Transforming Memories into Unique Creations with CVD

Updated: Aug 30

That You Can Hold

Some memories deserve more than a spot buried somewhere in your phone.

Maybe it’s a picture of someone you love. A saying that only your family understands. A team your kid has poured their heart into. A veteran you want to honor. A wedding, graduation, birthday, new baby, business milestone, memorial, or one of those random little moments that somehow ends up meaning everything.

That is the kind of stuff I love turning into something real.

At Crafty Veteran Designs, custom doesn’t mean picking Design A, B, or C and changing the name.

It means starting with your idea, your story, your colors, your people, and your personality and figuring out how to turn it into something that feels like it belongs to you.

More Than Just a Picture on a Tumbler

Sure, I make tumblers.

But what I’m really creating might be a little piece of someone’s story.

I’ve worked on designs for sports teams, schools, businesses, veterans, families, weddings, gifts, memorials, organizations, and plenty of ideas that started with something along the lines of:

“Okay, this might sound weird, but can you make…”

Those are usually some of my favorite projects. 😂

Because sometimes you know exactly what you want.

Sometimes you have a picture and a vague idea.

And sometimes you have absolutely no clue how to explain what is bouncing around inside your head.

That’s okay.

We can figure it out.

Why Personalized Gifts Mean More

You can walk into a store and buy a cup.

You can order a generic gift online.

And sometimes that is exactly what you need.

But there are other times when you want something that makes someone stop for a second and say:

“You made this for me?”

That reaction is what makes custom work different.

A name, a photograph, a favorite saying, military service, school colors, a child’s jersey number, a loved one’s handwriting, an inside joke, or even a ridiculous phrase that only two people understand can turn an ordinary item into something meaningful.

And yes, occasionally slightly inappropriate sayings make their way onto things around here too. I make no judgments. 😏

Your Idea Does Not Have to Be Perfect

One thing I want people to know about ordering from Crafty Veteran Designs is that you do not have to show up with a perfectly planned design.

Seriously.

You can send me:

  • A photograph

  • A screenshot

  • School or team colors

  • A business logo

  • A quote

  • A rough sketch

  • Several ideas that do not seem like they belong together

  • Or a message that basically says, “I don’t know what I want, but I want it to feel like THIS.”

We start there.

I can help pull those pieces together into something that feels personal instead of something copied and pasted from everybody else.

From Memory to Finished Design

Every custom order is a little different, but the process is pretty simple.

Start With What Matters

Think about the person, event, memory, team, organization, or reason behind the item.

What needs to be part of it?

Maybe it is a photograph.

Maybe it is someone’s name.

Maybe it is a phrase they say all the time.

Maybe it is simply a certain feeling you want the design to have.

Send Me Your Ideas

You do not need professional artwork.

If you have pictures, inspiration images, logos, colors, sayings, or examples of things you like, send them.

And if you have something you absolutely do not want, tell me that too.

Sometimes knowing what you hate is surprisingly helpful. 😂

We Build It Together

This is the part I enjoy.

Colors get changed. Things get moved around. Names get added. Backgrounds get adjusted. Sometimes the first idea turns into something completely different once we start working on it.

The goal is not just to make something pretty.

The goal is to make something that feels right for you.

Then We Turn It Into Something Real

Once the design is approved, it becomes the finished product.

A tumbler.

A cup.

A keepsake.

A gift.

Something for your team, business, organization, event, or family.

Something you can actually hold instead of leaving the memory trapped inside a camera roll.

Some of My Favorite Orders Start With a Story

Custom work gets especially meaningful when there is a story behind it.

Maybe you are honoring someone who served.

Celebrating your kid’s season.

Making something for a coach who gave more than they had to.

Creating gifts for a wedding party.

Putting together items for a fundraiser or community organization.

Giving someone something that reminds them of a person they miss.

Or maybe you just want your favorite ridiculous saying permanently attached to your coffee cup.

Important life moments come in many forms. 😂

That is why I do not believe custom products have to be fancy or serious to be meaningful.

Sometimes meaningful is sentimental.

Sometimes meaningful is hilarious.

Sometimes it is both.

Crafty Veteran Designs Is Personal for Me Too

Crafty Veteran Designs is a veteran-owned small business, but it is also something much more personal to me.

Creating gave me somewhere to put my energy, ideas, stress, and imagination.

What started as making things became something I genuinely love doing, especially when someone trusts me with an idea that actually means something to them.

There is something pretty incredible about watching a pile of pictures, colors, words, and half-formed ideas slowly turn into something someone is excited to give, receive, or keep.

That part never really gets old.

Have an Idea? Send It My Way.

If you have been thinking about creating something custom, you do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Bring me the photo.

Bring me the colors.

Bring me the strange idea.

Bring me the scribbled note.

Bring me the screenshot you have been saving for six months.

We will figure out the rest.

Because at Crafty Veteran Designs, custom should actually mean custom.

Your story.

Your style.

Your way.
